Everyday Aches and Pains Quiz Finally, someone came to me and recommended this book. He had been going through very similar pains at a stressful point in his life and told me just to read the book. It was $12 and I was at my wits end with doctors telling me it was this or that (either just a muscle thing that I needed to stretch or the old and tired "you're too young for back pain" excuse). I started reading the book and changing my outlook on my back, TMS, and the things that were really bothering my subconscious. I admitted that I had been dealing with a lot of stress that I was not handling properly. The book made that abundantly clear... It took 1 week for me to read the book and one more for my brain to wrap around the ideas and really start believing in it. You really need to commit to believing that this is all in your mind. I also quit the chiropractor and stopped using any drugs (Tylenol and the doctor's prescription drug, forget what it is called) during the 2nd week. That was the catalyst to finally starting to feel a lot better. It was an amazing feeling to know I didn't need drugs and therapy to cure my back issues. I was very active before this and now I am getting back into working out and playing basketball, disc gold, ultimate frisbee... It has been 2 months since the book and I feel almost back to 100%!
