However, the last 1/4 of the book are examples of diagnoses with Sarno's comments on its relevance to TMS (Tension Myositis Syndrome). Thereafter I fasted on mango and carrot juice for two weeks to avoid any bowel activity whatsoever. Without any food in my intestines, I didn't move my bowels for the entire two-week period.

There are many causes of low back pain. Some of the most common include an injury to a muscle or tendon (a strain), an injury to a back ligament (a sprain), and a herniated or "slipped" disc (when the soft material inside of a disc between spinal bones leaks and irritates nerves).
