It seems so bizarre when I look back now, but I honestly never thought that living without pain was feasible. I’d lived with aches and pains of varying descriptions for so long and heard so often that there was nothing that could be done, that there was no obvious cause of my pain and that I would just have to learn to live with it, that that’s what I was doing. Living with it. Believing it. Accepting it.
