Everyone that suffers from "chronic back pain" NEEDS to listen to this or read the book. I underwent surgery, and then went for years on medication. Finally after feeling better I was in a terrible car accident and back to square one. For 2 more years I underwent shots, medication etc. Then one day I ran into a complete stranger who suggested the book. All though this is probably NOT the norm, I went jogging 3 days after reading the book. Hit 300 baseballs in a 4 day span - something I never even would have tried. I have been pain free for almost 3 years. Dr. Sarno is the Einstein of our times. You will lose nothing by just listening or reading the book. But you stand to gain your life back. I did. You never could have convinced me that this book was relevant, until I was absolutely at the end of my rope. Don't wait until you get to this point. My wife read the book and has been without migraines for years. Our brains have changed with the information age - this spells out how our brains have changed, and how our social constrictions have impacted the inner workings of our physiological self. A must listen/read.
